Why 2024 is NJ’s worst DROUGHT since 2002 | Joe Martucci reports

Parts of New Jersey entered the second highest level of drought, extreme drought, for the first time since 2002. Back then, the state had mandatory water restrictions for us.

That’s not the case yet, however, I believe it’s only going to get worse until it gets better. We are at a record-long dry streak and the long-range forecast doesn’t promise an overabundance of rain.
