See the 8 foot cliff of sand in Avon, NJ after nor’easter

AVON NOR’EASTER DAMAGE | I walked over to the beach here in Monmouth County. The north side of town had its beach eroded big time.

There’s an 8 foot cliff of sand by the outfall pipe. The sand fences are knocked over, with the sand eroded away.

New Jersey has another 7 months until nor’easter season ends. That’s a lot. Some protective dunes remain, which is good, but another one of these puts that in serious jeopardy.
