📽️We’re in the 4th quarter of our nor’easter. Snow is STILL coming down in some of the beach towns and gusts will continue to whip. Monmouth-Ocean counties have plenty of 20″ snow reports. Let’s wrap up this storm and look ahead to more snow (yup).

Sunday Afternoon Blizzard Update for the Jersey Shore
SUNDAY AFTERNOON UPDATE | Yes, rain’s holding on longer than I thought but we’re flipping over to snow from north to south as you read this. We’re still on pace for over 12″ of snow for most of NJ.
Also, the tidal flooding forecast has gone UP. This now looks to be similar tides tonight to what we had during Hurricane Erin last August.

This NJ nor’easter is the exact OPPOSITE of the Jan. 25 storm for this 1 reason
I was doing some thinking… This nor’easter is the exact OPPOSITE of the Jan. 25 coastal storm. It has to do with the way this Feb. 22-23 storm will precipitate vs. the way it happened with the Jan. 25 storm.
In this upcoming nor’easter, the precipitation will be so heavy, it’ll tap into the sub-freeze temperatures aloft. This will then cool down the atmosphere, flipping rain to snow.
It was just the opposite on Jan. 25.

12″-18″ of snow now likely for parts of NJ as BLIZZARD WARNINGS grip the Shore
📹SATURDAY AM NOR’EASTER UPDATE | This is going to be a major winter storm. I bumped up totals again. Winds will howl to 65 mph somewhere at the shore. Then, there’s the coastal flooding, that looks to be more than the October nor’easter.

NJ’s now in a Winter Storm Watch for Feb. 22-23 and snow totals just went up
FRIDAY NIGHT UPDATE | Ok, I expanded the areas of who will see 8″-14″ of snow in NJ. For the coast, you know the deal. Nor’easters are more about the coastal flooding and wind than snow. There will be both but it could be worse.
And yes, there is the potential for historic snow in NJ but I’m not there yet.
